Concept

The CANopen Library consists of two parts:

  • CANopen Library Stack as hardware-independend part and

  • CANopen Library Driver as hardware-dependent part.

The CANopen Library Stack can be combined with various CANopen Library Drivers.

The CANopen Library is available for:

  • bare metal embedded systems,

  • embedded systems with an operating system,

  • Linux / socketCAN

  • Windows on CPC, IXXAT, Kvaser, Peak and Vector.

The scope of a standard CANopen Library Driver includes:

  • Basic-CAN mode,

  • 11 bit identifiers and

  • single-line.

The following additional features are available on request:

  • Full-CAN mode,

  • 29 bit identifier,

  • multi-line,

  • redundancy and

  • virtual multi-line, i.e. multi-line via 1 physical CAN interface.
