Licenses for available Fieldbuses

We are providing access to the used fieldbus protocols. Scope of an inherent License is the use of the hardware and the use of eventually accompanying software resp. Source Code; the use of the PROFINET / EtherNet/IP / EtherCAT / ModbusTCP / OPC-UA or any other technology itself is not licensed, a technology license can be obtained by the corresponding technology maintaining trade organization; usually by becoming a member of this trade organization. MRP for PROFINET needs an extra License by PI (PROFIBUS International, http://www.profibus.com ).

Our SoM Product is initially licensed with the corresponding trade organizations with and by our own membership in these organizations. As soon as our Vendor-ID is replaced with the customer’s Vendor-ID or the customer’s device is introduced to the market with the customer’s own name or any other name our initial license is void. A formal Conformance Test and corresponding certification is always strongly recommended and within the responsibility of the customer.
